Last updated: 23 October 2026. This policy explains what the CallMind Android app and the CallMind service (“we”) collect and how it is used.
Account information
When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address and Google account ID from Google. If you sign in with email, we store your email and a securely hashed password. We use this only to identify your account. We never receive your Google password.
Call recordings and summaries
- CallMind reads the call recordings that your phone's recorder saves on your device, using permissions you grant.
- To create a summary, a recording is sent over an encrypted connection to our server and passed to our AI processing provider (Groq) for transcription and summarisation. Recordings and transcripts are processed in memory and are not stored on our servers.
- Summaries, transcripts and contact memories are stored only on your phone, in an encrypted database. They are not backed up to the cloud by CallMind.
- In on-device mode, nothing leaves your phone.
Your own AI key
If you add your own Groq API key, it is stored encrypted on our server, used only to process your calls, and never shown back in full.
Usage data
We keep per-day counts (number of calls processed, audio minutes) to apply fair-use limits, and security logs of sign-ins. We do not sell personal data and do not use it for advertising.
Contacts and call log
Contact names and the call log are read on your phone only, to label recordings with the right person. They are not uploaded, except the caller's name or number included with a recording for its summary.
Deleting your data
You can erase all CallMind data on your phone from Settings. To delete your account and server-side data, email [email protected] from your account email; we delete it within 30 days.
Consent for recording
Recording laws differ by place. You are responsible for recording calls lawfully and informing the other party where required.
